About Louisiana Opportunity Capital (SSBCI) TA
Services are focused on three critical areas:
- Financial Advisory Services: capital planning, preparing for lenders/investors, and identifying funding sources.
- Accounting Services: accurate bookkeeping, financial statements, audits, and digitized recordkeeping.
- Legal Services: business formation, contracts, registrations, and governance documents
NCRI builds on STartUP Northshore’s proven work catalyzing entrepreneurship and innovation across the three-parish region. Our mission is to ensure local businesses are capital ready, sustainable, and resilient.
We do this through:
- Curated Workshops that prepare businesses for capital access.
- Mentor-Led Peer Roundtables to learn collaboratively with other entrepreneurs.
- One-on-One Consultations tailored to each business’s unique needs.
- Agreements with no-cost service providers to deliver approved financial, accounting, and legal services.

Who is Eligible?
Businesses that qualify include:
- Very Small Businesses (VSBs): Fewer than 10 employees, including sole proprietors and independent contractors.
- SEDI-Owned Businesses: Businesses owned by individuals who have historically faced diminished access to credit, including women, minorities, veterans, rural residents, and others.
